Hier leite ich Euch Pir Zias Dezember-Newsletter (mit Übersetzung) weiter sowie eine
Einladung für Montag, 1. Januar 2024, 18:00 - 18:30 Uhr MEZ  zur Einstimmung auf den
Neujahrstag mit Pir Zia Inayat Khan. Alle sind willkommen. Die Online-Veranstaltung ist
kostenlos und wird übersetzt.

Liebe Weggefährtinnen und Weggefährten,
Es nieselt heute hier in Richmond. Es ist Maulana Rumi's Urs - Gott segne und behüte
ihn. Vor einer Stunde haben wir uns zu einer Sonntags-Sama mit Maestro Anupriya Deotale
versammelt. Reine Ekstase.
Anschließend schaltete ich CNN ein. Diese Worte erschienen oben in der Schlagzeile der
Nachrichten:
" Ungefähr 18.800 Palästinenser - 70 % von ihnen waren Frauen und Kinder - sind
zwischen dem 7. Oktober und dem 15. Dezember im Gazastreifen gestorben, teilte das
palästinensische Gesundheitsministerium in Ramallah am Sonntag mit."
272 gewaltsame Todesopfer pro Tag, überwiegend Frauen und Kinder. 
Chanukka kam und ging. Bald kommt Weihnachten und dann Neujahr. Freundinnen und Freunde
sind eifrig dabei, Geschenke füreinander zu finden. Es ist die Jahreszeit, in der man am
Kaminfeuer heiße Schokolade genießt.
Und jeden Tag gibt es 272 gewaltsame Todesopfer im Heiligen Land, überwiegend Frauen und
Kinder. Und die Bombardierungen gehen weiter.
Ich habe das Heilige Land mit meinem Vater besucht. Wir haben der Klagemauer, der
Grabeskirche und der Al-Aqsa-Masjid unsere Ehre erwiesen. Wir machten den Zikr neben dem
Grab von Hazrat Rabia.
Der Nieselregen draußen hat sich zu einem Dauerregen entwickelt. Ich bete um mehr von
diesem Wasser vom Himmel. Ich bete für einen Regenguss, der den Bombenhagel, die
Bombenexplosionen, die Gewehrschüsse und die Landbesetzungen im Heiligen Land und überall
dort, wo Leben in Gewalt gefangen ist, wegspült. 
Die Inayatiyya ist ein großes Zelt. Wir sagen weder einander noch irgendjemandem, was wir
zu glauben haben oder für welche politische Sache wir eintreten sollen. Aber die zentrale
Stütze unseres Zeltes hat eine Bedeutung, die nicht klarer sein könnte: Gott ist Eins und
alle Wesen sind verwandt.
Wir können nicht glücklich sein, wenn irgendeine Gruppe von Menschen auf der Welt leidet.
Vor Gott sind alle gleich.
Der Raga von Maestro Anupriya klingt noch in meinen Ohren nach. Ich habe immer noch die
wirbelnden Derwische vor Augen. Unser Planet wirbelt ebenfalls um die Sonne. In unserer
Haut wirbeln die Elektronen.
Explosionen machen Lärm, aber keine Musik. Musik ist das Antidot für Lärm. Das Heilmittel
gegen Aggression und Dominanz ist Harmonie. So wie Maestro Anupriya und ihre Tablisten
aufeinander hören.
In unserem Inayatiyya-Zelt gibt es Christen und Muslime, Juden und Araber und Menschen mit
verschiedenen politischen Ansichten. Bei all unseren Verschiedenheiten gibt es vieles, was
uns eint. Wir wünschen uns für die Welt, was wir uns füreinander wünschen, und wir
wünschen uns füreinander, was wir uns für uns selbst wünschen.
Es regnet jetzt stark. Ich erinnere mich daran, als ich im Retreat-Zelt in den Alpen war
und ein enormes Unwetter niederging. Reden wurde unmöglich. Wir verbrachten eine Stunde
damit, dem Regen zu lauschen.
272 gewaltsame Todesopfer pro Tag im Heiligen Land in den vergangenen zwei Monaten.
Täglich beten wir Amaan und erflehen Zuflucht. Zuflucht für die Getöteten, für diejenigen
mit zerschmetterten Gliedern, für die, die einen geliebten Menschen verloren haben und für
die große Zahl all derer, die ihr Zuhause verloren haben.
Regen des Himmels, wasche uns hier unten. Wasche die Blutflecken und den Blutdurst weg.
Wir können nicht ruhig sein, wenn unsere Mitmenschen leiden. Die Palästinenser erleiden
gerade jetzt unvorstellbare zivile Verluste; lass es sofort aufhören. Ergieße über die
Erde die Musik des Himmels.
Dasselbe Wasser fließt im Mittelmeer, im Schwarzen Meer, im Dal-See, im Rio Grande, im
Nil, in den Flüssen Ili und Seti und in den Kanälen der Niederlande. In unser aller Adern
fließt das gleiche Blut. Jeder Marsch, jeder Brief an einen Entscheidungsträger, jede
Spende und jedes Gebet, das dazu beiträgt, Leben zu retten, ist ein Zeugnis der Einheit.
Laß dein Brot über das Wasser fahren (... so wirst du es finden auf lange Zeit.
Ecclesiastes 11-1 -Anmerkung Margarethe).
Ewiger Musiker, gib uns das Lied, das Herzschmerz und Widerstandskraft ergründet, das
Lied, das Brücken baut, wo Stacheldraht war und Krankenhäuser an die Stelle von
Munitionslagern.
Bald ist Sonnenwende. Schicke uns den Regen Deines Friedens.

 Dear Companions on the Path,

 It’s drizzling today here in Richmond. It’s Maulana Rumi’s Urs – God bless and keep him.
An hour ago we gathered for a Sunday Sama with Maestro Anupriya Deotale. Pure ecstasy.

 Afterward I navigated to CNN. These words appeared at the top of the headline news feed

 “Approximately 18,800 Palestinians — 70% of whom were women and children — have died in
Gaza between October 7 and December 15, the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Ramallah
said in a statement Sunday.”

 272 violent deaths a day, mostly of women and children. 

 Hanukkah has come and gone. Soon will come Christmas and the New Year. Friends are busy
finding gifts for each other. It’s the season for sipping hot chocolate by the fire.

 And there are 272 violent deaths a day in the Holy Land, mostly of women and children.
And the bombings continue.

 I visited the Holy Land with my father. We paid respects at the Western Wall, the Church
of the Holy Sepulchre, and the Al-Aqsa Masjid. We did zikr beside Hazrat Rabia’s tomb.

 The drizzle outside has become a steady rain. I pray for more of this water from heaven.
I pray for a downpour to wash away the bombast, bomb blasts, gunshots, and land-grabs in
the Holy Land and wherever lives are engulfed in violence.   

 The Inayatiyya is a big tent. We don’t tell each other, or anyone, what to believe or
which political cause to champion. But the central pole of our tent has a meaning that
could not be clearer: God is One and all beings are kin.

 We cannot be happy when any group of people in the world is suffering. All are equal
before God.

 Maestro Anupriya’s raga is still ringing in my ears. I still see the dervishes whirling.
Our planet is likewise whirling around the sun. In our skin, electrons are whirling.

 Explosions make noise, but no music. Music is the antidote to noise. The remedy for
aggression and domination is harmony. The way that Maestro Anupriya and her tablist listen
to each.

 In our Inayatiyya tent there are Christians and Muslims, Jews and Arabs, and people of
various political views. For all our differences, there is much that unites us. We wish
for the world what we wish for each other, and we wish for each other what we wish for
ourselves.

 It’s raining hard now. I remember being in the retreat tent in the Alps when big storms
swept in. Talking became impossible. We would spend an hour listening to the rain.

 272 violent deaths a day in the Holy Land these last two months. Daily we pray Amaan,
invoking sanctuary. Sanctuary for the slain, for those with crushed limbs, for those who
have lost dearly loved ones, and for the enormous multitudes who have lost their homes.

 Rain of heaven, wash us here below. Wash the bloodstains and the bloodthirst. We can’t be
content when fellow humans suffer. The Palestinians are enduring unimaginable civilian
devastation right now; let it stop at once. Pour over the Earth the music of Heaven.

 The same water flows in the Mediterranean, the Black Sea, Dal Lake, the Rio Grande, Nile,
Ili, and Setit rivers, and the canals of the Netherlands. The same blood flows in the
veins of all of us. Every march, every letter to a decision maker, every donation, and
every prayer that goes toward saving lives is an attestation to oneness. Cast your bread
upon the waters.

 Eternal Musician, give us the song that fathoms heartache and resilience, the song that
will build bridges where there was barbed wire, hospitals where there were ammunition
dumps.

 The Solstice is almost here. Send us the rain of Your Peace.
