Dezember 2025 Liebe Freunde auf dem Weg der spirituellen Freiheit, es ist schon eine Weile her, seit ich das letzte Mal geschrieben habe, und als ich der Symphonie meines Herzens lauschte, waren dies die Noten, die sich mitteilen wollten. Ich bin sehr begeistert von der Dawn of Friendhood<https://inayatiyya.org/courses/inner-history-iii-the-dawn-of-… (Morgendämmerung der Freundschaft)! Diese neue Morgendämmerung wurde in einer Sendung mit Pir Zia, Marcia Hermansen und Omid Safi auf wunderbare Weise vermittelt. Sie hat Inspiration, Verständnis und eine neue Hoffnung für die Zukunft gebracht. All dies spielt sich vor dem Hintergrund täglicher Herzensqual ab, wie meine Freundin Zehra Kasim kürzlich in einem Suluk-Kurs sagte – Herzensqual, die aus der scheinbar endlosen Gewalt in Häusern, auf Straßen, in Städten, an Stränden und in ganzen Ländern entsteht. Oft geht dieser große Kummer einher mit dem Gefühl, nicht zu wissen, wie man das Geschehen stoppen kann, oder mit aller Kraft zu kämpfen, ohne zu wissen, wann es enden wird. Ich war dankbar, dass Omid die Worte von jemandem zitierte, den er als Freund betrachtet, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., gesprochen während des Montgomery-Busboykotts und veröffentlicht in seinen Memoiren Stride Toward Freedom<https://store.thekingcenter.org/products/stride-toward-freedom?m… (Schritte zur Freiheit): „Wer an Gewaltlosigkeit glaubt, hat tiefes Vertrauen in die Zukunft … Er weiß, dass er in seinem Kampf für Gerechtigkeit kosmische Begleitung hat. Es gibt eine schöpferische Kraft in diesem Universum, die daran arbeitet, die getrennten Aspekte der Realität zu einem harmonischen Ganzen zu verbinden.“ Ich sehe diese kosmische Kameradschaft auch zwischen unserer lieben Pirzadi Shahida Noor-un-Nisa Inayat Khan und Shrabani Basu, der Autorin von Spy Princess<https://thehistorypress.co.uk/publication/spy-princess/?mc_cid=2fc42c92fc&mc_eid=3acf6dcc09> (Spionage-Prinzessin), einem Buch über Noors Leben. Anlässlich des zwanzigsten Jahrestags der Erstveröffentlichung ist eine neue Ausgabe erschienen, die neues Material und Fotos sowie Reflexionen über Noors Vermächtnis in Großbritannien enthält, zu dessen Entstehung Shrabani beigetragen hat. (Foto siehe unten) Dieses Vermächtnis wird auch in Frankreich fortgeführt, wo eine neue Briefmarke mit Noor herausgegeben wurde. Durch diese Gesten – und durch ihre Anwesenheit im Windsor Castle am Remembrance Day diesen November (11. November, Gedenktag zu Ehren der im 1. und 2. Weltkrieg getöteten Soldaten und Zivilisten) – spüre ich, dass sie uns begleitet, während wir den Mut finden, die Botschaft der Liebe, Harmonie und Schönheit zu leben und zu verkörpern. Noor ist eine Ritterin der Reinheit, und es ist solch eine Freude zu sehen, dass die Knighthood-Bewegung (Weg der Ritterlichkeit) in Nordamerika eine App herausgebracht<https://inayatiyya.org/40-rules-knighthood-of-purity-app/… hat, die uns dabei hilft, dem ethischen Kodex der 40 Regeln<https://inayatiyya.org/knighthood/?mc_cid=2fc42c92fc&mc_eid=3… zu folgen. (Foto Briefmarke siehe unten) Ich bin unserem Freund Pir Zia immer dankbar dafür, dass er uns in diesen Zeiten an unsere Aufgabe erinnert: Unsere wahre Natur zu verkörpern, mit unseren Freunden, den erleuchteten Seelen, zu leben und eine Allianz mit der Natur, den Planeten und miteinander zu bilden. Sein Buch „Bird Language“ (Die Sprache der Vögel) ist ein ständiger Begleiter. Dies war die Weisheit, die mir gestern beim Aufschlagen des Buches begegnete: „Die größte Leichtigkeit wird in der Tiefe des Kampfes gewonnen.“ Während meiner eigenen Kämpfe kenne ich nichts Besseres als Musik, um mich an das ewige, allgegenwärtige Licht zu erinnern. Wie Murshid sagt: „Es gibt nichts auf dieser Welt, das einem spirituell mehr helfen kann als Musik. Meditation bereitet vor, aber Musik ist das Höchste, um Vollkommenheit zu erreichen... Es scheint, dass die Natur ihre Hilfe leistet, um die Musik zu vervollständigen, und Musik und Natur wirken zusammen, denn sie sind eins.“ Ich freue mich immer, wenn ich auf meinen Reisen Freunde von Murshid treffe. Ich schließe dieses westliche Kalenderjahr mit den Worten, die Marcia im Programm „Dawn of Friendhood“ geteilt hat, in dem sie die Bedeutung von Ya Fattah erklärte: „Der Eine, der Richter und Offenbarer ist. Der Eine, der öffnet, was geschlossen ist. Der Eine, der Richter darüber ist, was geöffnet werden soll. Der Eine, durch dessen Führung das Verschlossene geöffnet und das Unklare klar wird. Der Eine, der Schleier lüftet und das Herz öffnet. Der Eine, der die Knoten löst und das erweicht, was verhärtet war. Der Eine, der fortwährend Güte und Barmherzigkeit schenkt. Der Eine, der den Sieg schenkt. Der Eine, der die Tür zum Erfolg öffnet. Der Eine, der die Schlüssel zu Sieg und Erfolg besitzt. All of this unfolds against a background of daily heartbreak, as my friend Zehra Kasim recently named in a Suluk class — heartbreak born of what can feel like unending violence in homes, streets, cities, beaches, and entire countries. Often this heartbreak is matched by a sense of not knowing how to stop what is happening, or struggling with all one’s strength without knowing when it will end. This was the wisdom that came as I opened the book yesterday: “The highest ease is won in the depths of struggle.” In my own struggles, I know of nothing better than music to remind me of the eternal, ever-present light. As Murshid says: “There is nothing in this world that can help one spiritually more than music. Meditation prepares, but music is the highest for touching perfection…It seems that nature gives its help to make the music complete, and music and nature both work together, for they are one.” I am always happy to meet Murshid's friends on my travels.
