The Lexicon of the Sufis Mondays, Sep 9, Oct 7, Nov 4 & Dec 2. All friends, new and returning, are invited to join us as we explore the terminology of the Sufis as set out in A Glossary of Sufi Technical Terms by Abd al-Razzaq al-Qashani, a key textbook in Sufi circles for the last six and a half centuries. During each class, Pir Zia reviews the terms in alphabetical order, according to the original Arabic. Then he may also add terms unique to the lexicon of the Inayatiyya. The Alchemy of Happiness
Sundays, Oct 6 - Nov 10. This fall we turn toward what it means to create happiness in life. Over six weeks, Pir Zia will guide us through our own inner happiness landscape, providing simple yet profound teachings from the work of the Sufi mystic, Hazrat Inayat Khan. We will explore themes such as cultivating purpose, developing a positive attitude, dealing with life’s struggles, tempering our reactions, and how to find meaning—all leading to greater contentment and happiness. November 15 - 17. In the second installment of our Inner History series, we will survey the seeds planted by illuminated prophets and sages in many parts of the world from the Copper Age to Late Antiquity. We will discern the hand of the Spirit of Guidance in the world’s history, and see how our own awakening is an outgrowth of the revelations brought through the trailblazers of the human journey to the Infinite. Awakening to the Spiritual Guidance of the World @ Fazal Manzil
September 7 - 8. In this retreat, through discourse and meditation, we will attune to the “Diwan” comprising the spiritual guides of all lands and eras, and will moreover discern the specific figures whose wings are, so to speak, over us at this juncture in our lives. September 13 - 19. For the 80th anniversary of Pirzadi Noor-un-nisa Inayat Khan’s death on September 13, 1944, there will be events from 13-19 September 2024 throughout Germany—in Dachau, Munich & Berlin. Pir Zia will actively take part in this week-long commemoration. More details and Zoom link. |

The Divine Names
Thursdays, Sep 5, Oct 3, Nov 7 & Dec 5. We invite you to explore a mine of unfathomably vast spiritual treasures in the community of like-hearted seekers: the Divine Names. We will approach these sacred names through their sound, explore the layers of meaning they encompass through their etymological roots and their reference in the Holy Qur’an, in the teachings of the Sufis and especially of our Inayatiyya lineage, and immerse ourselves in their mysteries through invocation in sacred remembrance. This monthly series is led by Zumurrud Butta and Naima Brown, together with our dear friend and special guest teacher Omid Safi. More details and registration. |

The Foundations of Healing
Saturdays, Oct 12, Nov 9 & Dec 14. The Foundations of Healing is a doorway into Hazrat Inayat Khan’s Sufi teachings on healing. We will delve into practices of Divine healing and transformation that live within each of us. By developing one’s capacity through the exploration of the heart and the breath, transformation can be found within the body, mind, heart, and soul. The Path of the Healer
October 17 - 20. On behalf of the Inayatiyya Healing Activity, we kindly invite you to join us for our annual Sufi Healing Retreat. It is based on the teachings of the Sufi musician and mystic, Hazrat Inayat Khan (1882-1927) and is traditionally in two optional parts. This year the first two days, October 17th & 18th, are designed for Inayatiyya Healing Activity Leaders, and the second two days, October 19th & 20th, are held as a general healing retreat open to all.
